Without warning, Aphels suddenly invade all areas with Phelions: the Academy, Earth, remote bases, traveling parties, and so on. Their numbers are greater and they are much more aggressive than usual, but more than that, instead of simply absorbing Phelions' fragments, they are particularly targeting the Aphel-touched in order to abduct them.
The Phelion(s) used must have completed the Starter Quest or Development Quest (quick start with Development Quest available during Event Period only).
You must have a Toyhou.se account, and you must be in the Auspicium Discord server with the Phelion role or a superseding one, such as Species or Enlightened.
In order to take the Abduction Route, your Phelion must be Aphel-touched prior to this quest. Note that you are able to have one prior Aphel-touched, but you can get more through the Main Story quests.
Where is your Phelion at the time of the Invasion? How do they respond—do they try to get help? Do they try to defend others? Create an entry depicting their experience during the quest.
If they are Aphel-touched, they may will be particularly targeted for abduction. Tendrils of multiple Aphels merge with them, causing them to become paralyzed and overcome by the Aphels before being kidnapped. If you take your Phelion down the Abduction Route, that Phelion will be eligible for the Hive-side quest in Part 2.
You can have a Phelion become Aphel-touched through this quest, even if you already have one, so long as it does not make more than half of your Phelions Aphel-touched. That is, you must have 2 or more if no previous Aphel-touched, must have 4 or more if you have one Aphel-touched already. In Part 2, there will be another opportunity for Aphel-touched to transition to the Hive-side of the Main Story quests. During the Invasion, Aphels do continue to attack non-Aphel-touched Phelions and continue trying to take their fragments.
In a single entry, you can have up to one Phelion in each main role. Depending on their role, the rewards they get will differ.
Academy: A Phelion affiliated with the Academy who experiences the invasion.
Abducted: An Aphel-touched Phelion who is abducted during the invasion.
You can have any number of Phelions featured in secondary roles, but they will not receive rewards or official quest progression; you must submit an entry with them in the main role if you want the rewards.
You must provide a synopsis (summary) outlining the major occurrences for all involved Phelions. There is no minimum or maximum, but if I (Auspice) find it unsatisfactory, I may press for more detail.
Short example: "Orvis and Aleiren were at the Academy together when the Invasion began. Aleiren began to hear voices, experiencing a headache and something similar to dissociation as visions and alien voices resounded in their mind. Aphels managed to breach their location and targeted Aleiren aggressively; Orvis defended them until Aleiren recovered enough to fight. However, Aleiren was overwhelmed by Aphels and was subdued by multiple. Orvis watched them be transported away."
Long example: "Orvis, Aleiren, Nidae, and Calla were at the Academy when the Invasion began. Cobalt was out exploring while Rhizon was out with a group of students.
Orvis and Aleiren were together when Aleiren began to hear voices, experiencing a headache and something similar to dissociation as visions and alien voices resounded in their mind. The Invasion began minutes later, and Kaluin relayed instructions via the Phelion hivemind connection—Defense-qualified Phelions would split into an offensive group that goes out to fight the Aphels, and a defensive group that guards the noncombatant Phelions. Orvis brought Aleiren to a safe zone; Nidae took up a defensive position while Calla went on the offensive.
Calla was able to hold the line for a while, but the Aphels soon broke through the Academy's barrier. She saw Garud getting swarmed and stepped into help him, but they were cornered and Aphels managed to connect to Calla. Garud was able to stop the extraction, but Calla was Aphel-touched and needed to boost to escape.
Beyond the Academy, Rhizon was able to defend his group of students. Cobalt took out countless Aphels that swarmed around her before she was overwhelmed, Aphels connecting to her. Luckily, another nearby Phelion was able to interfere, but it left Cobalt Aphel-touched as well.
Around the same time, Aphels managed to slip past Nidae and breach the safe zone where Aleiren was at the Academy. Orvis, who had remained with Aleiren, fought back. Aleiren managed to gather themself after some time and joined the battle, focused on keeping Aphels away from the noncombatant Phelions. However, there were too many Aphels and too many things to keep track of, not to mention that Aleiren was still out of sorts from the noise of the Aphels. They were subdued, several Aphels hooking into their body, and Orvis could not approach.
Then, all at once, a deep droning noise resounded across the Aphels. Across the universe, subdued Aphel-touched Phelions were transported away. Not long after, the rest of the Aphels retreated."
This synopsis covers several Phelions with different outcomes:
Create artwork, a comic, writing, or an art/writing combo.
See requirements for each in the Standard Story Quest Requirements section.
You may submit multiple separate entries for different Phelions. At least one Phelion for each entry must be yours. You may collab on pieces, though the amount of effort should be approximately equal. If you allow someone else to use your Phelion with it not being a collab, you will not earn any bonus rewards for them.
100 credits ▮
Eligibility for next Story Quest and progression towards Finale Rewards
If submitted during event period:
option to volunteer for story content
option to lock ownership
These rewards depend on completing certain requirements in your entry.
Aphel-touched trait | Your entry must depict your Phelion's close encounter with the Aphels, and the new Aphel-touched trait must not make more than half of your Phelions Aphel-touched.
Fallen trait | Your entry must depict your Phelion's encounter with the Aphels and how their fragments were extracted. A Fallen Phelion is permitted to skip Part 2 and proceed directly to Part 3 of the Main Story Quests, but the Aphel Extraction Part 2 Quest, which converts the Fallen trait to the Arisen trait, must be completed in order for them to participate in further Main Story Quests.
Transition to Hive-side of Main Story | Your Phelion must have already been Aphel-touched, and their abduction must be depicted in your entry.
