Species: Angel → Oscuraph
Element: Light

Alignment: Ordained
Dates: formed ~3000 BCE, transitioned 801 BCE
Location: Twilight Plane primarily
Sekriel is the first recorded Oscuraph, an Entity of measured consideration and philosophical depth who helped shape the very nature of Entity society. Once among the most formidable Angels of the Conflict Era, they evolved from an enforcer of harsh justice to become a pioneer of balance between Light and Dark. Though they maintain their characteristic efficiency and focus, their experiences have led them to seek deeper understanding of souls' complex journeys toward fulfillment.
"Light without empathy blinds as surely as darkness without purpose. To see the world for what it is, we must experience both sides and all in between."
Sekriel approaches existence with methodical curiosity and pragmatic wisdom. They remain selective about their investments of time and energy, showing little interest in matters they deem irrelevant to their goals. However, their definition of "relevant" encompasses a broad spectrum of intellectual and philosophical pursuits.
Their transformation from Angel to Oscuraph reflects in their personality—they possess both the clarity of Light and the nuanced understanding of Darkness. This manifests in their approach to guiding souls, where they seek to illuminate paths that society might obscure while acknowledging the need for personal darknesses and introspection.
Despite their serious nature, Sekriel maintains an appreciation for intellectual discourse and will engage in conversation when it promises meaningful exchange. They have no inherent need for company, but recognize the value of different perspectives in broadening understanding.
In the violent dawn of the Conflict Era, Sekriel emerged as one of the most formidable Angels of Light, obliterating settlements deemed irredeemably corrupt with devastating efficiency. The First Armistice marked a turning point—as direct conflict was no longer sanctioned, they began spending more time observing mortals. Though they never developed conventional emotional empathy, their intellectual understanding deepened, particularly in recognizing how souls could harbor both Light and Dark simultaneously. During this period of revelation, Sekriel encountered Bellat, then a powerful Demon, and their philosophical discussions led both to question the stark division between the forces they embodied.
In a pivotal moment in Entity history, Sekriel chose to embrace Darkness while maintaining their Light, becoming the first Oscuraph. Their transformation inspired Bellat to seek a similar path, becoming the first Lumion. Though initially cast out from both Lux and Umbra, they discovered the Plane of Twilight and established Vespertine as a sanctuary for the emerging Ecliptic beings. While Bellat preferred autonomy, Sekriel took on the crucial role of negotiating with Angel and Demon societies, helping establish the foundations of modern Entity society. Today, they continue guiding souls toward fulfillment, with a deep understanding of how both Light and Dark shape the path to ascension.
In the violent dawn of the Conflict Era, Sekriel emerged as one of the most formidable Angels of Light. They approached their divine mission with ruthless efficiency, using their mastery over light to obliterate settlements deemed irredeemably corrupt. In their view, attempting to reform such societies was futile—better to end the current incarnation and allow souls a fresh start.
The First Armistice marked a turning point in Sekriel's existence. With direct conflict no longer sanctioned, they began spending more time observing and interacting with mortals. Though they never developed conventional emotional empathy, their intellectual understanding of mortal existence deepened considerably. They discovered that souls rarely aligned purely with Light or Dark—most harbored elements of both, often simultaneously progressing toward ascension while carrying threads of corruption.
During this period of revelation, Sekriel encountered Bellat, then a powerful Demon. Their initial interactions were tense, colored by centuries of factional hostility. However, as they continued to cross paths and discuss their observations of mortal existence, both began to question the stark division between Light and Dark.
In what would become a pivotal moment in Entity history, Sekriel asked Bellat to guide them to the Plane of Darkness, where they let the Darkness blend into the very essence of their soul. There, they were transformed into an Oscuraph—their wings of light turned to black feathers, while their halo remained present but cracked into a fragmented form.
Bellat was surprised, but its time with Sekriel had also opened its eyes to the grays of what was thought to be a black-and-white world. The two parted ways, with Sekriel wanting to try changing the decisions of the Luminous Council.
When Sekriel returned to Lux, however, their new form and philosophy caused significant uncertainty among the Angels. The Luminous Council, faced with an unprecedented situation, struggled to determine how to respond. During this period of tension, Sekriel sought out Bellat again, only to find their former guide curious about pursuing a similar transformation. In a symmetrical act of trust, Sekriel led Bellat to the Plane of Light, where the Demon embraced Light while maintaining their Darkness, becoming the first Lumion.
As more Entities began to follow their example, fear of these powerful hybrid beings grew in both Lux and Umbra. When the Ecliptic were cast out from both cities, Sekriel discovered the Plane of Twilight, where they had formed after the conflict that ensued when they were cast out. They met with Bellat once more, and the two decided to cooperate and guide the Ecliptic to the Plane of Twilight.
Though the numbers of the Ecliptic remained few, there grew to be enough that Sekriel decided to use their powers to construct Vespertine—a decently large complex of structures consisting of interconnected sanctuaries and gathering spaces, built of both crystalline light and shadowstone. Other Ecliptic assisted in the process, making a new home for their kind.
As they carved out their own place in the universe, acting on the middling souls left neglected, Sekriel and Bellat gathered the Ecliptic and proposed that they take a stance and negotiate with Angel and Demon societies to advocate for more nuanced approaches to guiding souls. Despite the initial ostracism, their capabilities and their unique insights on both Light and Dark eventually earned them a hearing from both sides.
Bellat, whose nature was more autonomous than Ordained, left negotiations to Sekriel and those willing to take on the task of communicating with each faction. Sekriel did not mind, however, finding the work valuable. Throughout the centuries, they continued to work with other Entities to ensure order and progress, though they stepped back from taking on a true ruling role, instead ensuring that each of the Ecliptic had the opportunity to express their voice and make their own choices.
Today, Sekriel continues their work of guiding souls toward fulfillment, but with a deeper understanding of the necessity of both Light and Dark in the journey toward ascension. They are particularly interested in helping individuals break free from societal constraints that might prevent them from finding their true path to self-actualization.
Bellat | Friend
Sekriel and Bellat share what might be termed a friendship, though one unlike any mortal definition of the word. Their relationship is built on mutual intellectual respect and a shared journey of transformation that fundamentally changed Entity society. While neither experiences emotion in human terms, they maintain a deep understanding of each other's perspectives and methods. Their conversations, though infrequent, often span days or weeks as they dissect observations about existence, souls, and the balance between Light and Dark.
Their differences in approach—Sekriel's measured diplomacy versus Bellat's decisive interventions—create a dynamic tension that has persisted through millennia. They do not seek each other's approval or companionship in any conventional sense, but each recognizes the other as a crucial counterpoint in their understanding of existence. Their shared history as the first Oscuraph and Lumion binds them in a unique way, even as they pursue largely independent paths.
Species: Demon → Lumion
Element: Cold Fire
Gender: None
Pronouns: it/any
Alignment: Autonomous (Ordained leanings)
Dates: formed ~3500 BCE, transitioned 801 BCE
Location: physical plane primarily
Once a powerful Demon who became the first Lumion, Bellat is an Entity of careful observation and decisive action. Though often perceived as cold and merciless, their transformation from a cynical soul-hunter to a being of balance reflects a deep understanding of existence's complexities. They maintain a distinctive approach to maintaining cosmic balance—watching, waiting, and acting with devastating finality when they deem it necessary.
"Watch. Learn. If you cannot improve... wipe the slate, and start over."
At first glance, Bellat appears cold and detached, watching events unfold with apparent impassivity. This exterior masks a complex being who has developed a nuanced understanding of both Light and Dark through millennia of observation and experience. While they may seem merciless in their actions, each intervention is carefully considered with an eye toward the greater balance.
Despite their formidable nature, Bellat occasionally indulges in mundane experiences, walking among humans in various guises. Their deadpan demeanor makes it difficult for others to discern whether they truly enjoy these experiences or simply view them as another form of observation. This inscrutability extends to most of their interactions, leaving both mortals and Entities uncertain of their true thoughts.
Originally a Demon who grew weary of the straightforward pursuit of corrupt souls, Bellat began experimenting with deals and longer-term observation of humanity. Their encounter with Sekriel during the Armistice period led to profound changes in their understanding of existence. After witnessing Sekriel's transformation into the first Oscuraph, Bellat chose to embrace Light while maintaining their Darkness, becoming the first Lumion. Together with Sekriel, they helped establish the foundations of Ecliptic society.
During the Conflict Era, Bellat emerged as a powerful Demon, initially taking a direct approach to hunting corrupt souls—it simply took the souls they sensed as corrupt with brutal efficiency. However, as centuries passed, this existence began to feel hollow and monotonous.
Seeking to break the tedium, Bellat began making deals with corrupt souls instead of immediately consuming them. This shift led to prolonged observation of humanity, allowing them to witness individuals struggling with both corruption and redemption. For the first time, they saw beyond the binary of corrupt and pure souls, recognizing the complex journey of self-actualization.
During the Armistice period, Bellat encountered Sekriel, then a formidable Angel known for smiting corrupt settlements. Their initial interactions were marked by mutual wariness, but their conversations revealed shared observations about the nature of souls and existence. Through these discussions, both began to question the fundamental divide between Light and Dark.
When Sekriel sought access to the Plane of Darkness, Bellat provided guidance, witnessing the unprecedented transformation of an Angel into the first Oscuraph. This experience profoundly affected Bellat, opening their eyes to new possibilities of existence. Shortly after, they requested Sekriel's help in accessing the Plane of Light, where they underwent their own transformation into the first Lumion.
The transition brought a sense of completion to Bellat's existence. Their new nature allowed them to perceive both the light and shadow within souls. Rather than hunting individual corrupt souls, they began observing broader patterns in society, intervening only when they deemed a complete reset necessary.
Their first major intervention as a Lumion demonstrated power beyond anything previously seen from an Entity. When confronted with a deeply corrupt society that was tainting even newborn souls, Bellat unleashed devastating force, consuming the corrupt en masse while giving uncorrupted souls a chance at rebirth in better circumstances. This display of power contributed to the initial fear and rejection of Ecliptic beings by both Angels and Demons.
As they spent most of their time in the physical plane, they were not greatly affected when the Abyssal One at the time decided to cast out the Ecliptic from Umbra. Before long, Sekriel sought them out, explaining how they had discovered the Plane of Twilight. The two decided to cooperate and guide the Ecliptic to the Plane of Twilight.
Though the numbers of the Ecliptic remained few, there grew to be enough that Sekriel decided to use their powers to construct Vespertine, which Bellat assisted with.
They continued to spend much of their time in the physical plane, though they would often visit the Twilight Plane.
Today, Bellat maintains their role as a watchful observer of humanity. They move through the world in various guises, taking time to experience mortal existence while monitoring for situations that may require intervention. Their methods remain controversial—when they act, it is with catastrophic finality, wiping clean what they deem irredeemable. However, their long-term results often justify their actions in the eyes of other Entities, even if their methods are feared.

Jhaku | "Sibling"
From the moment of its formation, Jhaku felt an inexplicable connection to Bellat, following it with quiet persistence despite Bellat's initial indifference. What began as a one-sided attachment evolved over millennia into a peculiar form of kinship.
For Bellat, Jhaku began as merely a presence it tolerated—a shadow that didn't merit dismissal but didn't command attention either. Yet over time, Bellat developed something almost like protectiveness for a weak little thing that barely seemed like a Demon at all. When it was weakened by an Angel, it brought Jhaku to Umbra; when Jhaku fled from Angelic and Demonic society after its transformation into a Lumion, Bellat was gentle, even, in bringing it to the Plane of Twilight.
From Jhaku's perspective, Bellat represents both an enigma worth studying and a constant in its ever-expanding universe of knowledge. While Jhaku has long since outgrown its early dependence on Bellat, it maintains a profound respect for its "sibling" Entity. Where others see only Bellat's merciless efficiency, Jhaku perceives the complex balance of judgment and necessity that drives Bellat's actions. The two often go centuries without meaningful interaction, yet their paths eventually reconverge, each time with a deeper, unspoken understanding between them.
Species: Demon
Element: Darkness
Gender: None
Pronouns: they/it/any
Alignment: Ordained
Dates: ?? (ancient)
Location: alternates between Umbra and physical plane
Urivae is the Abyssal One of modern times (2020s in the physical plane), and one of the most ancient Demons. More or less all Demons first heard of them as a Shadow or an Abyssal One, rotating in and out of the position of the Abyssal One in varying spans of time.
"Tell me your secrets, your desires, your woes… I will listen, and keep them close."
Urivae has a heavy, imposing presence—a presence that carries the weight of their immense power and authority. At the same time, however, that presence is offset by their somewhat mischievous nature. They can be serious or teasing, or artfully blending the two for the right situation. Though many might find Urivae intimidating, most of them find themselves disarmed by their artful silliness and humor. Every now and then—not excessively—they like to speak in rhymes.
Underneath that, Urivae is very attentive to others and deeply empathetic. They care deeply for all Demons, thinking of them as a sort of family to be cared for; they want to listen to all the woes of Demons and do what they can to ensure their satisfaction in existence. They have a way of pinpointing the root of others' troubles and, in some cases, quietly taking care of them.
Urivae has all the abilities Demons have, including shapeshifting, soul magic, primal magic, and gaining power through consuming souls.
Urivae is one of the most powerful Demons in existence. No one knows how many souls they have consumed, but it is certainly an immense number.
Urivae's element is Darkness. They have powerful control over darkness, allowing them to manipulate shadows and darkness, and granting them exceptional control over primal Darkness.
Urivae has a natural synthesis of their elemental darkness with their primal Darkness.
Urivae was one of the first Demons in the formless darkness, helping create Umbra as a home for demonic entities and becoming the first Abyssal One. They discovered the physical plane and the purpose of consuming corrupt souls. After meeting Ilumiel and learning of Angels, Urivae was temporarily usurped but later returned to establish the court system and leadership rotation. Throughout history, Urivae has acted as both leader and wanderer, advocating for balance during conflicts with Angels and later accepting the Ecliptic. Today, Urivae serves as the current Abyssal One, guiding their demonic "family" while maintaining diplomatic relations with both Angelic and Ecliptic factions.
In the beginning, there was only awareness in darkness. Urivae existed as a consciousness without form, adrift in the vast, shapeless expanse of primal Darkness. For what might have been eons, they existed in solitude, gradually developing a sense of self through the slow accumulation of thoughts and impressions.
Then came the others—at first just whispers of presence, then more distinct entities forming in the darkness. Urivae reached out with their consciousness, establishing the first connections between Demons. Through these tentative links, Urivae learned they were not alone, that there were others like them, each with their own unique essence but bound by the same fundamental nature.
They wished to meet them, to know them. Somehow, they did—the thoughts and half-formed desires of other Demons entered their own mind, and they felt awed by the presence of others.
Under Urivae's guidance, the first Demons began to weave structure into the formless Darkness. What emerged was the foundation of Umbra—a realm of shadow and depth centered around pools of deep black liquid that seemed to connect directly to the essence of Darkness itself. In Umbra, Urivae made Umbra a home for all Demons, where they could discover who they are and share in each other's company within endless Darkness.
At some point, Urivae sensed a distant trace of something within the dark pools of Umbra. It triggered some deep instinct that they had been unaware of for a long time, and they chased that trace to find the physical plane—a realm teeming with mortal beings whose souls carried not only Darkness but something else. Some of those souls exuded that strange "scent," and though it made Urivae want to consume, they first watched. The corrupt souls, they found, belonged to the ones who wished to harm others.
Having seen all they needed to see, Urivae snatched the soul straight out of the mortal's body, swallowing it whole. At that moment, Urivae experienced a deeply satisfying sensation along with a rush of power, and they understood what that instinct was. Demons were the natural predators of corrupt souls.
Urivae returned to Umbra to share this knowledge and guide their kind. Though other adventurous Demons had also entered the physical plane already, with Urivae's guidance, all Demons learned of what their "hunger" was, and how consuming corrupt souls could help them grow more powerful.
Since their numbers were few, a century passed just like that—Demons operated in the physical world without interference. Then, Urivae met Ilumiel, a being that was neither Demon nor mortal. No, they were a different Entity entirely—an Angel, as Urivae would learn. Their initial meeting was tense, each wary of the other's unfamiliar energy. Yet instead of conflict, they engaged in a tentative exchange of awareness. Through this, Urivae learned of the Plane of Light and the Angels' purpose in guiding souls toward ascension.
Though they parted without resolution, this encounter sparked profound changes. Upon returning to Umbra and sharing what they knew, confusion and unease spread throughout Demons. More Demons started encountering Angels, and the tension between the factions soon escalated to conflict. A powerful Demon who had battled with Angels soon came to usurp Urivae—and to Urivae's surprise, when they were defeated, the metaphysical "mark" that they had carried for their entire existence transferred to that Demon.
Under that Demon's leadership, Demonic society as a whole grew more wary and hostile of Angels. Urivae left for the physical plane, where they decided to amass power before returning to take care of their "family" once more. While they were away, several other Demons fought for the position and won, leading to fairly frequent shifts in power. It was only after Urivae had grown powerful enough to completely dominate other Demons that they returned to retake their position. With their return, they established the court and rotation system more neatly.
While in power, they tried to guide Demonic society toward a more balanced approach, though the mark of the Abyssal One carried its obligation—to represent the will of all Demons, not just their own vision. When they felt it was time, they would dismiss their court, pass on the mark, and return to the physical plane to hunt.
During periods away from leadership, Urivae occasionally encountered Ilumiel in the physical plane. Though never allies, they developed a complex understanding—two ancient beings who had witnessed the entirety of Entity history. Their rare conversations, always in private, sometimes yielded insights that would later inform both societies.
As the Divine Era gave way to the Armistice and later the Eclipse Era, Urivae watched with interest as Sekriel and Bellat pioneered a new form of existence. The Ecliptic represented a balance Urivae had long contemplated but never fully embraced. Though they remained a Demon, Urivae recognized the value of the Ecliptic's perspective. However, they were not the Abyssal One of that time. Instead, they wandered as a Demon among Demons, listening to others' thoughts and persuading them towards understanding. Quietly, they helped pave the way for the Mediation around 500 BCE.
Today, as the current Abyssal One, Urivae maintains the balance of power in Umbra, listening to the voices of their "family" and guiding them towards the lives they desire. They negotiate with both the Angelic and Ecliptic factions, helping everyone find their place.
Of course, beneath their diplomatic exterior lies the same primal hunger that defines all Demons, carefully controlled through millennia of discipline but never fully extinguished.
"The oldest shadow," some Demons whisper of Urivae, "cast before any light touched our realm."
Ilumiel | Ancient Counterpart
Urivae and Ilumiel are neither friends nor enemies. Their connection spans almost the entirety of Entity history, beginning with their first encounter in the early days of human development. Over hundreds of thousands of years, they have met a number of times, each encounter being one of philosophical exchange rather than conflict. They are cordial with each other, at least listening to the other's perspective even if they do not agree. Still, both have been shaped by these exchanges.
Bellat | "Family"
Bellat, like all Demons, is accepted by Urivel as "family." When Bellat confided to Urivae that it was "fraternizing" with an Angel—Sekriel—Urivae only laughed and encouraged it, asking if it was nice to have a friend of the Light. When Bellat became a Lumion, Urivel did not treat it with hostility—only curiosity.
Species: Angel
Element: Electromagnetic Radiation
Gender: None
Pronouns: they/we
Alignment: Ordained
Dates: ?? (ancient)
Location: Lux, sometimes visits physical plane
Illumiel is one of the oldest Angels in existence, a part of the Luminous Council for as long as it has existed.
"We were cast into this universe as individuals, left to find our way on our own. Yet we do not have to be. We are all one harmony, a resonance of existence. We are not alone."
Illumiel is a presence that feels familiar and comforting. They feel like warmth and home, welcoming in an embrace of harmony. At their core, they desire harmony with all things and dislike conflict; they appreciate all gentle and beautiful things. They feel saddened more than anything when others demonstrate aggressive or "discordant" actions, seeking first to negotiate and persuade before shifting towards a mindset of "purging." When they get to that state, however, their actions can be quite brutal and merciless.
Their personal desire to help souls ascend is to bring those souls into the harmony of Angels. When they first discovered the existence of Demons, they felt sad that neither Demons nor the souls they consume could ever join the Angelic harmony, and thus sought to protect souls from Demons. Later, they accepted Demons as part of the balance of the world.
Illumiel has all the abilities Angels have, including shapeshifting, soul magic, primal magic, and sourcing their power from the collective power of Angels.
Illumiel's element is electromagnetic radiation, referred to as "EMR" magic in shorthand. They can generate and control any form of EM wave, and change one kind of EM wave to another.
Illumiel is particularly skilled at blending their primal Light magic with their elemental EMR magic. They radiate an energy that induces a sense of familiarity and harmony, even for other Entities (though the effect is weaker compared to its effects on mortals).
Ilumiel was one of the first Angels in the formless Light, helping to shape Lux and establish the resonance that connects all Angels. Upon discovering the physical plane, they guided early humans toward enlightenment until encountering Urivae and learning of Demons. As a founding member of the Luminous Council, Ilumiel initially advocated for understanding between factions, though they participated in casting out the first Ecliptic beings. After witnessing the balance brought by the Ecliptic, they became one of the first to support reintegration and negotiation. Throughout Entity history, Ilumiel has maintained occasional philosophical exchanges with Urivae, using their ancient wisdom to guide Angelic society toward harmony while providing counterbalance when needed.
In the beginning, there was light—vast, formless, and alive with potential. Within this radiance, consciousness slowly coalesced, first as mere impressions, then as distinct awareness. Ilumiel emerged not as a singular entity but as a focus point within the collective light, gradually developing a sense of individual identity while remaining fundamentally connected to the whole.
As other consciousnesses formed within the light, Ilumiel sensed them—distant at first, then increasingly clear. Unlike the isolation experienced by the first Demons, Angels were never truly alone. From their earliest moments, they existed in a state of partial resonance, their thoughts and impressions flowing between them like currents in an ocean of light.
Through this shared consciousness, the first Angels began to structure their realm. Under Ilumiel's guidance, they shaped the formless light into what would become Lux—a city of radiant towers and flowing energy where Angels could gather to strengthen their collective resonance while maintaining their individual perspectives.
After a timeless eternity of a harmonious song of souls, Ilumiel sensed something beyond the Plane of Light—faint echoes of souls seeking fulfillment. Drawn by these echoes, they ventured into the physical plane, discovering beings whose souls contained not only Light but something else. They were bound to a world with pain and suffering, but their souls had the potential to ascend and join the harmony of Angels, Ilumiel thought.
Fascinated by these early humans, Ilumiel appeared before them in various forms, helping them develop language and understand concepts of harmony and community. Through patient guidance, they showed humans how their actions affected their souls' journey toward ascension. This peaceful work continued for centuries, with Ilumiel occasionally returning to Lux to share their discoveries with other Angels.
Then came the encounter that would forever change their understanding. While guiding a soul on the cusp of ascension, Ilumiel sensed an unfamiliar presence—not human, not Angel, but something else entirely. This was Urivae, one of the first Demons, drawn to traces of corruption in the same soul Ilumiel sought to elevate.
Their meeting was cautious, neither immediately hostile but both wary of the other's unfamiliar energy. Through a tentative exchange of awareness, Ilumiel learned of the Plane of Darkness and the Demons' purpose in consuming corrupt souls—and the fact that corruption even existed in the universe.
Though they parted without resolution, this encounter profoundly affected Ilumiel. Returning to Lux, they shared the knowledge of Demons with the collective consciousness of Angels. This revelation created the first true discord in Angelic society—some advocated for cooperation with these newfound entities, while others argued that Demons represented a threat to souls' ascension.
As increasing numbers of Angels and Demons encountered each other in the physical plane, conflicts became more frequent. Ilumiel advocated for understanding and boundaries rather than direct confrontation, but their voice was gradually overshadowed by those who saw the protection of souls as requiring more aggressive approaches.
Over millennia, Ilumiel remained a central figure in what would become the Luminous Council, their ancient wisdom respected even when their moderate stance was not adopted. Unlike the rotating leadership of Demons, the collective nature of Angelic decision-making meant Ilumiel never truly lost their voice, even during the most intense periods of the Conflict Era.
During times of particular tension, Ilumiel would occasionally encounter Urivae in the physical plane. Their conversations, always private, represented rare moments of dialogue between the oldest representatives of Light and Dark. Though never allies, they developed a complex understanding—two beings who had witnessed the entirety of Entity history and shared a perspective that transcended factional loyalty.
When Sekriel emerged as the first Oscuraph, Ilumiel was initially troubled by this unprecedented blending of Light and Dark. Swayed by the collective's fear and wariness, Ilumiel agreed to cast out the Oscuraphim to maintain the purity of Light's harmony. Once the decision was made, they were merciless in their actions. Afterwards, however, they remained observant, watching the development of the Ecliptic faction.
When Sekriel returned with an ardent request for negotiation, Ilumiel was one of the first to advocate for accepting them as part of the universe's harmony.
Today, as one of the eldest members of the Luminous Council, Ilumiel serves as both a keeper of ancient knowledge and a voice of measured wisdom. When Angels in Resonance drift toward excessive severity, Ilumiel provides counterbalance; when they tend toward complacency, Ilumiel reminds them of their fundamental purpose.
"The first light," some Angels say of Ilumiel, "that embraces all in its brilliance."
Urivae | Ancient Counterpart
Urivae and Ilumiel are neither friends nor enemies. Their connection spans almost the entirety of Entity history, beginning with their first encounter in the early days of human development. Over hundreds of thousands of years, they have met a number of times, each encounter being one of philosophical exchange rather than conflict. They are cordial with each other, at least listening to the other's perspective even if they do not agree. Still, both have been shaped by these exchanges.
Sekriel | "Harmony"
Sekriel, like all Angels, was welcomed by Ilumiel from the very beginning. Though Ilumiel disagreed with Sekriel's aggressive approach towards humanity, they offered their thoughts and reassurance whenever Sekriel had any worries. To Sekriel, Ilumiel was perhaps something like an elder—not close enough to be a mentor, but not distant enough to be a mere acquaintance. Still, they understand each other well. Illumiel felt mournful as they cast Sekriel out of Lux, and Sekriel did not resent them for abiding by the decisions of the Luminous Council for the sake of harmony. After the mediation, the two will meet every now and then, mostly for business and negotiations yet still enjoying each other's company in a wordless way.
