Personality

Ceilya, at first glance, is quite polite. To be exact, she learned a great deal of social skills from Jaece's memory and her own experience interacting with humans, and easily applied that knowledge to her interactions with others. She gives off an energy of being warm, friendly, and welcoming, yet also has an odd effect where many others don't tend to feel any closer to her throughout a conversation. She does all the "socially correct" things and maintains a calm, friendly demeanor, yet there is little sense of intimacy from interacting with her. Depending on the individual, some might find Ceilya remarkably comfortable and trustworthy, with them being quite willing to listen to others talk about horribly boring topics or emotionally fraught situations. Others might find her off-putting and alien, unable to feel that sense of human warmth and connection that comes with spending time with another person. 

Underneath that all, Ceilya is an individual who seeks stimulation. They are immensely curious, enjoying learning about any new information whatsoever; they enjoy touching the minds of other humans and Celeians, acquiring and sharing information. She finds the sensation of interfacing with other minds and electronic systems to be fun and stimulating, even if her outward demeanor is completely unaffected. With Jaece, she often casually touches them to experience the sensation of her energy overlapping with their neurological network. 

History

Ceilya began as a Proto-Celeian wandering the Starfall universe, eventually being drawn to the planet Avelor in 1098 PD. Upon crashing to the surface, they were caught by a human named Jaece, who initially mistook them for a wishing star. Through this first contact, Ceilya instantly gained knowledge from Jaece and took on a humanoid form, transitioning to their Main Sequence state. The two formed a partnership with the shared goal of transforming the world into a better place.

Together, Ceilya and Jaece founded Starbridge Technologies, a company that would revolutionize Avelorian society through celestial technology. Ceilya discovered they could extend Jaece's life with their energy and developed an amplification procedure that allowed them to power increasingly advanced technologies. Their influence grew as they gradually introduced innovations in medical care, life extension, teleportation, and sustainable energy. During this period, they also contacted other Celeians drawn to Avelor by Ceilya's amplified energy, either recruiting them to Starbridge or advising them to remain hidden temporarily. In 1500 PD, after establishing Starbridge as a dominant force in global infrastructure, they revealed the truth about Celeians to the world alongside their space travel initiative.

The following decades saw Ceilya take on the role of "Celeian representative," acting as a bridge between humans and Celeians while helping to advance Avelor's space program. By 1550 PD, their efforts had transformed Avelor into a spacefaring civilization, leading to contact with other worlds and societies. Ceilya and Jaece remained central figures in these interstellar diplomatic efforts until 1580 PD, when they announced their retirement from active leadership of Starbridge. Though still available for consulting and continuing to power much of Avelor's celestial technology, they now spend most of their time in a secluded mansion, occasionally embarking on space voyages together or assisting with important matters when needed.

Relationships

Jaece | Partner, Catalyst

Initially, Jaece and Ceilya's partnership was a more formal affair: Jaece had a goal, and Ceilya agreed to help her. As they spent more time together and learned about each other more, they grew to genuinely enjoy each other's company and form a more intimate bond—emotionally, first, though they came to explore each other in physical ways as well. They learned how humans and Celeians could uniquely share in physical connection with each other through ways such as fusion, casual contact and sharing of energy, Jaece wearing Ceilya's crystallized energy, and more. At present, they enjoy idling away the time together in a peaceful, shared solitude, sometimes in their own home and sometimes traveling the universe or even other dimensions.
